American Golden Plover at Doonbeg John N Murphy

The American Golden Plover, two Black Terns, one adult Mediterranean Gull and a Wheatear were at Doonbeg. (John N Murphy)

One Great White Egret was in a flooded field west of Ballygriffey Wood. ( JNM )

The flock of 11 Glossy Ibis were still at the Drumcliffe end of Ballyallia this morning.(Maura Crowe, JNM, Ian Garry, James Organ & Stan Nugent) Two more Glossy Ibis were at Lahinch Marsh, north of the bridge.(Jeff Copner) There were two Curlew Sandpiper at Liscannor. A one hour seawatch at Ross Ringing Station between 14.00-15.00 produced one immature Sabine’s Gull, one immature Black Tern, 12 Leach’s Petrel, three Storm Petrel, six Arctic Tern, three Grey Phalarope, two Red-throated Diver and five Puffin.(JNM) There were 10 Sandwich Tern in Kilbaha Harbour. (JNM) There was one Wheatear at Castle Point, Kilkee and another female Greenland Wheatear at Tullagher Bay. (JNM)

At the Bridges of Ross between 07.05-19.05 there were 300 Sooty Shearwater, 133 Cory’s Shearwater, five Great Shearwater, one Balearic Shearwater, 151 Leach’s Petrel, 45 Storm Petrel, 85 Arctic Tern, 36 Sandwich Tern, two Black Tern, 21 Puffin, 43 Sabine’s Gull, three Common Scoter, 35 Grey Phalarope, 37 Arctic Skua, six Pomarine Skua, 43 Great Skua and 14 Red-throated Diver.(Paul Troake & Geoff Pearson)
