A Brambling was in a garden at the Fairgreen, Limerick City (Clare/Limerick Bird News).
The 1st winter Kumlien’s Gull was at Harvey’s Quay. A Meadow Pipit was an unusual visitor there on the shoreline as well(TT).
A 1st winter Iceland Gull and two Redshank were at O’Callaghan’s Strand (TT).
A Blackcap, two Redwing and a Snipe were in a garden at Newcastle West(Geoff Hunt).
Eight Golden Plover(flyover), a Snipe, eight Redwing and a Blackcap were at Monaleen(TT).
Two Lapwings were in a garden at Ballysimon (per Irishbirding).

A 1st winter Kumlien’s Gull, a 1st winter Iceland Gull, a first winter Yellow-legged Gull, a 2nd winter Ring-billed Gull and a Redshank were at O’Callaghan’s Strand. Two colour-ringed Gulls, a British Black-headed Gull, Yellow 2EB2 and a Norwegian Common Gull, Green JT78 were also present(TT).
The Common Gull was ringed as chick in near Karmoy in southwestern Norway on 4/7/2016 and was last reported in Fredrickstad in southeastern Norway on 25/9/2016.
The Black-headed Gull was ringed as a chick at Forvie on the Ythan Estuary, north of Aberdeen, Scotland on 19/6/2016. It is the first Scottish ringed Black-headed Gull found in Limerick.
Buzzards were at Ballysimon and Rosbrien (TT).
Two Shelduck, 16 Gadwall, eight Shoveler, 20 Teal, 38 Tufted Duck , 20 Pochard, 75 Coot, four Greylag Geese, ten Mute Swans and seven Snipe were at Coonagh (TT).
