14 Waxwings were at the Golf Links Road, Castletroy this evening. The birds were feeding on a cotoneaster tree directly opposite the golf club carpark.
A Kingfisher was seen at on the Shannon at Plassey.

The immature drake Lesser Scaup was at Lough Gash this afternoon ( John N Murphy), along with one drake and one hen Greater Scaup.
One Little Egret was at Drumcliff, Ballyallia Lake.
Three Whooper Swans were at Coonagh.
45 Tufted Duck, 45 Mallard, 27 Pochard, 11 Shoveler, a Teal, 37 Coot, 12 Moorhens, two Little Grebes and 11 Mute Swans were ar Westfields. A Blackcap was also seen in the area.
Black-headed Gull Yellow 208P was seen at Thomond Weir (see post of 24/11/2012 for further details).
A male Blackcap was seen near Ballingarry.
There were 14 Waxwings in a garden across from the car-park at Ballyallia Lake.
At Lough Atedaun there was one ale Hen Harrier, 200 Black-tailed Godwits, 30 Whooper Swans, 12 Greylag Geese and 50 Golden Plover.
One Great Northern Diver was at Lough Cullaun.
Two Jays were at Lough Inchiquin.
One Woodcock was at Kilcornan, Ennistymon.

There were 11 Waxwings opposite Cootes Shop, on the Kilrush Road in Ennis.
One Waxwing was in Sixmilebridge.
Three Waxwings were in Sixmilebridge today.
One male Hen Harrier was at Ballyea, Inagh.
One Great Northern Diver was at lough Cullaun.
A group of 90 Little Grebes, 44 Gadwall and one Jay were at Lough Inchiquin.
There were 44 Whooper Swans at Kilfenora.
Three Goldeneye, 181 Tufted Duck, 13 Mallard, four Coot, two Little Grebes, 17 Greylag Geese, ten Mute Swans, 530 Lapwing, two Curlew and two Snipe were at Bunlicky today.
132 Wigeon, 118 Tufted Duck, 100 Teal, 11 Gadwall, four Shoveler, 35 Curlew and three snipe were at Lough Gur.
A flock of 50 Waxwings was seen at College Park, near the Corbally Road at 4.00 pm this evening. The birds were in pre-roost gathering on a tall evergreen tree.
The third winter Yellow-legged Gull was seen again at Thomond Weir (Tom Tarpey).
