This Cedar Waxwing was photographed at Kilrush Wood by Mary Keating on 3rd June.
This is a first record for the county and only a third time one has appeared in Ireland.

A pair of Yellowhammer and two fledglings were at Slieve Rua in the Burren. Two male Yellowhammer were nearby along with two singing Whitethroat, two male and a female Cuckoo plus two pairs of Wheatear. (Nuala and Tom Lynch)
A pair of Yellowhammer plus a male Yellowhammer were on the slopes of Mullaghmore, along with four pairs of Wheatear, four singing Whitethroat and two Cuckoo.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)

There were nine Little Egrets at Lough Muchanagh (three adults and six chicks, along with 45 Lapwing, 40 Common Gulls and a Curlew. (Dave McNamara)
