Seven Blackcap were singing at Dromore Nature Reserve this afternoon. A Jay was also seen. The woodland was rich in Song Thrush song. A pair of Great-crested Grebe were on Dromore Lake.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)

Monday 16th May 2016
A pair of Yellowhammer were at Eanty More, Carron and a female Yellowhammer was close to Poulnabrone. Ten Whitethroat were between the Caherconnell Stone Fort and Eanty More. A Blackcap was singing near the Stone Fort. Four Cuckoo were calling in the area.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)

Twelve Whitethroat, six Cuckoo, three Little Egret, two Common Sandpiper, two male Blackcap and two Raven were seen at the Branch Dawn Chorus outing to the Burren National Park this morning. Thirty three species seen or heard in total.
