Adult Dotterel at Fodry, Loop Head John N Murphy

An adult Dotterel, one Spotted Redshank and five Golden Plover were at Loop Head this afternoon. This was only th 7th county record. (John N. Murphy & Neal Warnock)
One Wilson’s Storm Petrel, 100 Manx Shearwaters, 50 Storm Petrel, a Balearic Shearwater, three Great Skuas, 13 Arctic Skua and an adult Sabine’s Gull were at the Bridges of Ross this morning. (Victor Caschera, Sean Pierce and Steve Gantlett)

One Common Scoter, a Red-throated Diver, a Great Skua, three Sooty Shearwater, four Arctic Skua and 50 Storm Petrel were at the Bridges of Ross this morning(John Lynch)

At the Bridges of Ross this morning there was one Fea’s Petrel (John Lynch et al at 07.20), also four Wilson’s Storm Petrels, one Blue Fulmar, seven Cory’s Shearwaters, five Great Shearwaters, 325 Sooty Shearwaters, eight Balearic Shearwaters, 6,000 to 8,000 Manx Shearwaters per hour, three Leach’s Petrels, 1850 Storm Petrels, five juvenile Long-tailed Skuas, one Pomarine Skua, 29 Arctic Skuas, 25 Bonxies, 12 adult Sabine’s Gulls, two juvenile Black Terns, 120 Arctic Terns, 20 Common Scoter, one Great Northern Diver and one Red-throated Diver. Least Sandpiper at Cloghaun Lough John N Murphy

There were three Balearic Shearwaters, one Leach’s Petrel and five Sooty Shearwaters, five Storm Petrels and one Arctic Skua at the Bridges of Ross this afternoon. (Andrew MacMillan, Christian Bohmer et al)

Solitary Sandpiper at Loop Head John N Murphy

A SOLITARY SANDPIPER and a LEAST SANDPIPER were at Cloghaun Lough, Loop Head this afternoon.(John N. Murphy)
The Solitary Sandpiper is the first record for Clare and only the 7th Irish record. The Least Sandpiper is only the second county record. There was also one Common Sandpiper at the Lough.
One juvenile Ruff was on the west side of Kilcredaun Marsh (John N Murphy).
