Saturday 12th August 2017

Two Wilson’s Petrels were at the Bridges of Ross this morning.(Finnish Birders) Also at the Bridges of Ross were 14 Sooty Shearwaters, three Arctic Skuas, one Pomarine Skua, one Bonxie, 16 Storm Petrels, three Common Scoter, 40 Dunlin and 18 Sandwich Terns (John N Murphy, Joe Shannon et al).
There was one Spotted Redshank at Moyasta (JNM).
One Common Sandpiper, one Kingfisher and a White Wagtail were at Doonbeg Bay (JNM).


Thursday 10th August 2017

A Med Gull, six Little Egret and 55 Curlew were at Coranroo this morning.(Páidí Cullinan)
Sixteen Little Egret, 85 Oystercatcher, ten Curlew, a Knot and a Golden Plover were at Aughinish Island.(PC)


Monday 7th August 2017

Two thousand Manx Shearwater, two Great Skua and two Sandwich Tern were at the Bridges of Ross.(Páidí Cullinan, 9.20-11.20am)
A Whimbrel was at Ross Bay.(PC)
Two Green Sandpiper and 28 Curlew were at Cloughaun Lough.(PC)
Two Little Egret and 45 Curlew were at Kilcredaun Marsh.(PC)
One hundred and twenty three Redshank, 14 Greenshank, a Common Sandpiper, a Whimbrel, 80 Curlew and eight Little Egret were at Moyasta.(PC)
A Great White Egret has been seen in the Burren National Park area over the weekend.(Susan O Donohue)
Two Whimbrel, one adult Med Gull, 115 Curlew, 21 Little Egret and a male Peregrine were at Aughinish this morning. (Paul Troake)


Sunday 6th August 2017

260 Redshank, a Greenshank, twelve Curlew and four Little Egrets were at Askeaton harbour.
34 Redshank, five Greenshank, seven Curlew, four Oystercatchers and ten Mallard were at Beagh Castle.
18 Curlew, seven Oystercatchers, eight Mallard, two Little Egrets and Grey Heron were at Ballysteen.


Thursday 3rd August 2017

One Wilson’s Petrel was at the Bridges of Ross this morning (John N Murphy & Finbarr MacGabhainn)(9.45). Also at the Bridges were one Balearic Shearwater, 32 Sooty Shearwaters, 2,000 Manx Shearwaters, one adult Pomarine Skua, two Bonxies, one Arctic Skua, 18 Storm Petrels, four Puffin, 32 Sandwich Terns, 14 Common Scoter, three Dunlin and two Curlew (JNM, FMacG & Jim Crean).
There were seven Swift at Kilrush (JNM & FMacG).
