1st winter Kumlien’s Gull ©Tom Tarpey.

A 1st winter Kumlien’s Gull and two 1st winter Iceland Gulls were at O’Callaghan’s Strand. All appear to be new arrivals over the past week. An 2nd winter Yellow-legged Gull was also present. This is the bird that was first seen there in January 2017(TT).
At least 25 Hawfinches were at Curraghchase (Jeff Copner).

Twenty Whooper Swan were at the Drumcliffe end of Ballyallia Lake.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)

Buzzards were seen today at Ballysimon, Clooncunna and Rathjordan (TT).
Two 1st winter Iceland Gulls were at Harvey’s Quay (Geoff Hunt).

Albino Curlew is still at Bishop’s Quarter John N Murphy

One Black-throated Diver was off Black Head with 16 Common Scoter at Coolsiva Pier. (Paidi Cullinan)
Between Ballyvaughan and Bishops Quarter there were three Sandwich Terns, 11 Common Scoter and the albino Curlew. (PC)

Two Iceland Gulls, a 2nd winter and a new 1st winter bird, and an adult Ring-billed Gull were at O’Callaghan’s Strand (TT).
A UK ringed Black-headed Gull, Yellow 2RNR, was at Harvey’s Quay. The bird was ringed as a nestling in the Lee Valley Park, Fishers Green, Essex (on the northern outskirts of London) on 8/6/16 and was last seen at nearby Waltham Abbey on 28/5/17 (TT).

There were 25 Goldeneye at Rosroe Lake with another 15 at nearby Fenloe Lough and two Pochard.(David Lyons)
