Adult Forster’s Tern in Galway Bay John N Murphy

The adult Forster’s Tern was flying between Traught Beach, Doorus Pier and the Aughinish Island waters on the Clare Galway border this morning with three Sandwich Terns. (John N Murphy & Finbarr MacGabhann)
The adult drake Surf Scoter was at Coolsiva Pier with 50 Common Scoter. (FMacG & JNM)
There were six Long-tailed Duck, four Black-throated Diver and one adult Med Gull at Aughinish Island. (JNM & FMacG)
There were 13 Mediterranean Gulls and a Spotted Redshank at Corronroo Bay. (FMacG & JNM)
Ten Black-throated Divers, four Sandwich Terns and three Long-tailed Ducks were at Bishop’s Quarter, Ballyvaughan Bay. (JNM & FMacG)

There were 180 Wigeon, 160 Teal, 46 Shoveler, 54 Mallard, a Pintail, 25 Tufted Duck, five Mute Swans, 22 Coot, two Moorhens, three Little Grebes, a Common Sandpiper, a Snipe, 160 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 120 Black-headed Gulls were at the Charleville Lagoons (Geoff Hunt).
