Male Lesser Redpoll at the Shannon Airport Lagoon John N Murphy

The Common Buzzard was back at Clooney, Quin again this morning. (Brendan Cooney, Austin Cooney & John N Murphy)
A flock of 31 Curlew and a Little Egret were in the field at the Drumcliffe end of Ballyallia Lake. Five Whooper Swan flew westwards over the lake. (Nuala and Tom Lynch)
A female Blackcap was at Oak Park, Ennis. (Nuala and Tom Lynch)
A Jay, a flock of over 100 Chaffinch and 6 Mistle Thrush were at Lees Road Wood. (Nuala and Tom Lynch)
There were 280 Dunlin, 279 Knot, 160 Redshank, 130 Lapwing, 28 Shellduck, four Gadwall, ten Shoveler and 50 Teal at the Shannon Airport Lagoon this afternoon. (John N Murphy)
Further up the Shannon Estuary near Saints Island, Inishcullen Hill there were 1,200 Lapwing, 350 Golden Plover, 400 Dunlin, 180 Redshank, 200 Black-tailed Godwits and one Water Rail. (John N Murphy)
