The SNOWY OWL was seen again by another group of walkers in the Gleninagh Mountain area.
At the Branch outing today to Fanore there was one adult Little Gull off the beach along with 16 Black Guillemots and up to 500 Manx Shearwaters out at sea. Up the Caher Valley there were four Grey Wagtails, one Blackcap, one Swallow,two Willow Warblers, three Wheatears, two Raven and a pair of Dippers. At Gleninagh, Black Head there were two Black-throated Divers, 40 Great Northern Divers, 14 Common Scoter, 18 Sandwich Terns and hundreds of Manx Shearwaters streaming out of Galway Bay.(John N Murphy)
Six Yellowhammers were near Kilkeedy, the Burren. (John N Murphy)
Blackcaps were very vocal today with two near Mullaghmore, one near Carron, one near Ruan and one at Clarecastle Quay. (John N Murphy)
