A Swift was at Coonagh along with three Shoveler, 11 Gadwall, two Wigeon, 14 Teal, 13 Tufted Duck, 39 Little Grebes, two Great Crested Grebes, a Kingfisher and 65 Goldfinches (Tom Tarpey).

An immature White-tailed Eagle was at Tervoe (TT).

Monday 25th August 2025

A Common Sandpiper and an early returning Jack Snipe were seen at the Charleville Lagoons (TT).

Sunday 24th August 2025

A White-tailed Eagle was seen about one km west of Tarbert (Gerry Murphy).

Friday 22nd August 2025

A juvenile White-tailed Eagle and four Common Sandpipers were at Tarbert Bay (Geoff Hunt).

A Red Kite was at Carrigmore, Doon (John N Murphy).
This is the 6th record for the County.

Five Crossbills were near Pallasgreen (John N Murphy).

A male Goshawk was recorded feeding on a fresh kill near a farmyard at Kilcolman, Shanagolden yesterday evening (ES). The provenance of the bird remains uncertain and an escaped bird cannot be ruled out at this stage.

A 2cy male White-tailed Eagle, six Pochard, 12 Tufted Duck, a Wigeon and 21 Mallard were at Coonagh (TT).

The WTE (tag 43) was released at Tarbert Bay last year and has been moving around the inner estuary in the past few months.
