Two Curlew Sandpipers, two Mediterranean Gulls and an adult Yellow-legged Gull were seen at Loughill during the joint Limerick & Clare BWI branches outing. (Clodagh Glasgow, Gearóid Jackson, Sean Whelan, Donogh Sweeney et al.

Three juvenile White-tailed Eagles were also seen at Tarbert Bay on the outing.

A Chiffchaff was in song near Shanagolden (Clodagh Glasgow).

Three Curlew Sandpipers were at Kilteery (Tom Tarpey).

A Whimbrel and a Brent Goose were at Ringmoylan Pier (TT).

Wednesday 10th September 2025

A Black Tern, 138 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, eight Gadwall, three Shoveler, 16 Mallard, four Teal and five Mute Swans were at Lough Gur (Tom Tarpey).

An Osprey was at Bleach Lough (Frank McGeehan).

Two Glossy Ibis were at Coonagh (TT)

A adult Yellow-legged Gull was at Thomond Weir (TT).

A Common Sandpiper, 70 Little Grebes, 130 Mallard and a Kingfisher were at the Charleville Lagoons (Geoff Hunt).

Four Common Sandpipers were at Tarbert Bay (GH).

A Whimbrel was at Foynes (Clodagh Glasgow).

An adult Yellow-legged Gull was at Loughill (Luke Costello).

An adult Yellow-legged Gull and three Mediterranean Gulls, two adults and a juvenile, were at Loughill (GH).

Tuesday 26th August 2025

A Swift was at Coonagh along with three Shoveler, 11 Gadwall, two Wigeon, 14 Teal, 13 Tufted Duck, 39 Little Grebes, two Great Crested Grebes, a Kingfisher and 65 Goldfinches (Tom Tarpey).

An immature White-tailed Eagle was at Tervoe (TT).

Monday 25th August 2025

A Common Sandpiper and an early returning Jack Snipe were seen at the Charleville Lagoons (TT).
