The Glossy Ibis was seen again at Coonagh this morning(Tom Tarpey). The bird was flushed from the outflow stream from the middle lagoon and flew out into the River Shannon. Two Sand Martins were also seen along with a Jack Snipe, three Greenshank, 12 Black-tailed Godwits, three Great-crested Grebes and a drake Scaup.

A Blackcap was singing and defending territory at The Spectacles, Lough Gur today. An adult male Scaup and at least four pairs of Great-crested Grebes were on the lake.

The first winter Glaucous Gull was at Thomond Wier again today.
The adult Ring-billed Gull was at O’Callaghan’s Strand.
A pair of Gadwall was at Coonagh.

A Glossy Ibis was seen at the Coonagh nature reserve this afternoon (Barry Henn). This is the first record of the species for the County. Six Curlew, three Great-crested Grebes as well as a few groups of Tufted Duck and Pochard were also present.
A Buzzard was seen at the Clare Glens.

Five Buzzards were seen together near Croagh today. The birds were soaring and locking talons. The location is only few km from both Adare and Curraghchase where Buzzards were seen on numerous occasions over the past winter.
