A Long-eared Owl was seen at Cluggin, Oola last night.
13 Gadwall, two Great-crested Grebes, 42 Little Grebes, 36 Mute Swans and a few Tufted Duck were at Lough Gur.

A dead Barn Owl was found on the N21 east of Rathkeale. This is the second Barn Owl road casualty found near Rathkeale this year.
A Wheatear and a Raven were at Gortadroma landfill.
50 Curlew, 16 Redshank, three Greenshank, two Lapwing and ten Mallard were at Loughill.

A Barn Owl was seen at Glenwilliam, Ballingarry.
Two late staying Sedge Warblers were seen at Coonagh. Other birds of note there included 23 Wigeon, nine Pochard, four Gadwall, 16 Snipe, two Water Rails and a Raven.
149 Golden Plover, 62 Curlew, 60 Redshank, 16 Greenshank and a Knot were at Robertstown.
Further down the estaury two Spotted Redshank were at Bunnaclugga, Kerry.
58 Tuted Duck, 22 Pochard, 12 Mallard, 5 Gadwall, 4 Wigeon, a female Scaup, eleven Mute Swans, two Great-crested Grebes and a Black-tailed Godwit were at Coonagh.
Leave a commentTwelve Mediterranean Gulls, 40 Teal, 30 Redshank, 25 Black-tailed Godwits, 16 Greenshank, 15 Great-crested Grebes along with smaller numbers of Dunlin and Little Egrets were seen at Tarbert today on the Branch Outing. A possible Goshawk was also seen at the end of the outing. The bird emerged from the wood on the north side of the bay, being mobbed by a Sparrowhawk and another smaller raptor.
