A male Pallid Harrier has been occupying a territory near Athea in west Limerick in recent weeks. The bird apperas to be paired with a female Hen Harrier. This is the first record of the species in Limerick (Frank Connolly & Sheriene Acun).

A pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers was seen near Cappamore (Mike Quirke & Tom Tarpey)

45 Swifts, seven Gadwall and four Pochard were at Coonagh (TT).
A Cuckoo was at Caherass (Frank Keohane).

Whitethroat Tom Tarpey

Two Whitethroats, three Gadwall, 25 Whimbrel and a Buzzard were at Coonagh (TT).
A 2cy Iceland Gull was at O’Callaghan Strand (TT).
