A Pacific Diver coming out of summer plumage was off Finvarra Point this morning John N Murphy & Brian Finnegan)(09.50 to 10.20). Also off Finvarra Point were six Black-throated Divers, 42 Great Northern Divers, two Long-tailed Ducks, 14 Black Guillemots and three Common Scoter. There were 58 Little Egrets between Finvarra Point and Auginish Island/Corronroo Bay. One adult and one first-winter Mediterranean Gulls were near Corronroo. One Carrion Crow and 30 Rock Doves were at the Marteloe Tower at Aughinish. Another 40 Rock Doves and 24 Brent Geese were near Lough Murree. There were two Sandwich Terns and four Red-throated Divers off Doorus Pier. One White-tailed Eagle was at Mount Shannon. One Merlin was at Tubber. One Woodcock was near Roo Lough.

An eastern race Jackdaw was seen in a private garden in Newcastle West today (Geoff Hunt).
A late Swallow was seen today at Morgans, Askeaton.

A Marsh Harrier was seen at Tool’s Lough, the Burren (Dave McNamara). Twenty four Whooper Swan and 29 Shoveler were at the Drumcliffe end of Ballyallia Lake. Three Jay were at Lees Road Wood and another was seen at Ballyallia Lake.
