A Brambling was seen at Curraghchase during the branch outing this morning.

Eight Golden Plover were at Ballyallia along with 230 Lapwing. Four Jay were seen in Lees Road Wood.

The Lesser Yellowlegs was still at Moyasta Creek (Nuala & Tom Lynch) along with 1200 Lapwing, over 500 Wigeon, 240 Teal, 135 Curlew, 27 Snipe and 9 Little Egret. A Chiffchaff was at Gibson’s garden Kilbaha. Twenty eight Golden Plover, 22 Chough, 5 Snipe and 3 Kestrel were up at the headland.

One drake Greater Scaup, 70 Tufted Ducks and 32 Gadwall were at Lough Gash, Newmarket-on-Fergus. There were 180 Black-tailed Godwits, 140 Lapwing, 50 Tufted Duck, 46 Shoveler, 130 Wigeon and 100 Woodpigeon at Ballyallia Lake.

Pomarine Skua near Loop Head Lighthouse John N Murphy
The Lesser Yellowlegs was at Moyasta again today (John N Murphy et al). At Loop Head there was one Pomarine Skua, one Short-eared Owl, one immature Hen Harrier, 60 Golden Plover, 120 Lapwing, 100 Oystercatchers, 20 Common Snipe and 14 Chough. There were six Pomarine Skuas off the Bridges of Ross.
