One Short-eared Owl, one immature/female Hen Harrier, three Merlin, one Peregrine, two Swallows, one Jack Snipe, 14 Redwing, three Fieldfare, one Goldcrest, 60 Rock Dove, 60 House Sparrows, 25 Lapwing, 170 Golden Plover, 60 Shag, two Great Northern Divers fling over the headland and 14 Chough were at Loop Head today. A Green Sandpiper was seen on the Maigue at Adare today (Geoff Hunt).
Two large raptors, most likely Buzzards, were seen circling in the sky near Ballyneety, (east Limerick).

There were two Yellow-browed Warblers (one caught and ringed this evening), one Chiffchaff, one Goldcrest, 14 Redpolls, ten Siskin, ten Chough, 160 Golden Plover, three Merlin, two Sparrowhawk and two Redwing at Kilbaha and Loop Head today. Juvenile Red-breasted Flycatcher caught at Kilbaha Phil Brennan
A Red-breasted Flycatcher originally ringed in Britain was trapped and controlled in Kilbaha this morning. Also in the village was a Spotted Flycatcher, male and female Blackcap, a Siskin and two Coal Tits.(Phil Brennan, Nuala and Tom Lynch, Mark Gibson)

Two of the four Yellow-browed Warblers at Loop Head today John N Murphy
A RICHARD’S PIPIT was at Loop Head Lighthouse this morning (09.05 to 10.00), (John N Murphy, Nuala & Tom Lynch). This is only the fourth county record of this rare eastern vagrant.
Also at Loop Head today were four Yellow-browed Warblers (three of which were ringed), two Chiffchaff, one Snow Bunting, one Wheatear, 26 Reed Buntings, one Buzzard, two Merlin, two Peregrines, one Redwing, 170 Golden Plover, one Great Northern Diver, four Brent Geese and 14 Skylark.
