A Green Sandpiper and 20 Teal were at Pond near Templeglantine (TT).
An adult Ring-billed Gull was at Arthur’s Quay, Limerick City (Geoff Hunt).

One hundred and eighty Wigeon, 120 Teal, over 200 Redwing, ten Fieldfare, eight Curlew and three Little Egret were at Ballyallia.(Tom Lynch)

A female type Hen Harrier was seen at Curraghchase today. A Water Rail, a pair of Teal, a Snipe and a pair of Ravens were also present (Geoff Hunt).

Great Spotted Woodpeckers were heard calling in two locations at Curraghchase today. Reports of the species in Curraghchase have long been anticipated following range expansion in the north and east of the country and reports from Glenstal, Dromore Wood and Castlehewson in recent years. Four Hawfinches and three Buzzards were also seen in the area (Irish Birding/Brian Carruthers & Rachel Hynes).
The first winter Iceland Gull was seen again today in the flooded field at Ballyfookeen (Irish Birding/Dave McGrath).

15 Whooper Swans were seen between Caherconlish and Herbertstown. A further five were at Athlacca.
