Five Lapland Bunting were close to the Lighthouse at Loop Head this morning. Three more were at the Fodry along with two male Peregrine. Six Wheatear and eight Chough were also in the area.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Two Curlew Sandpiper, over 200 Curlew, eight Bar-tailed Godwit, 19 Little Egret, 32 Greenshank, 76 Redshank,12 Dunlin, three Snipe and 300 plus Hirundine were at Querrin Creek this afternoon. Six more Bar-tailed Godwit were at Kilcredaun.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)

A Scottish satelite tagged Osprey flew through County Limerick today. The bird came directly south west from Scotland through Rathlin Island, Northern Ireland and the Midlands in the past two days then past Murroe, Caherconlish, Lough Gur and Bruree before heading towards Charleville (per NIRSG). The bird, a recently fledged male, is one of a brood of three from a nest in Aberfoyle forest in Stirlingshire. Its progress can be followed on The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre Facebook page.

One juvenile BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was in the plover fields at Loop Head this afternoon. (John N Murphy)
Also at Loop Head this afternoon were 27 Lapland Bunting, two Snow Buntings, one juvenile Hen Harrier, ten Golden Plover, 22 Wheatears, 20 Rock Doves and 18 Chough.
Two Lapland Bunting, over 300 Meadow Pipit, 120 Skylark, 75 Linnet, 34 Redpoll, 15 Wheatear, four Chough, three Raven two Kestrel and a Golden Plover were on the Headland at Loop Head this morning.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
At Poulasherry Bay there was one Ruff, one first-winter Mediterranean Gull, 16 Wigeon, eight Shellduck, 60 Teal, 50 Bar-tailed Godwits and 22 Little Egrets. (John N Murphy)
