At Loop Head today the Red-breasted Flycatcher was still in Seni Costelloe’s garden, while elsewhere on the headland the Buff-breasted Sandpiper was on the north shore of Ross Bay, four Chiffchaff and a Willow Warbler were in the gardens, with one Pomarine Skua, one Bonxie, three Leach’s Petrels and 18 Storm Petrels were off the pier in Kilbaha Harnour. Red-breasted Flycatcher in Seni Costelloes garden at Kilbaha John N Murphy

At Loop Head today there was one first-winter Red-breasted Flycatcher, one Yellow-browed Warbler, one Turtle Dove, one Siberian Chiffchaff, four Chiffchaff, the adult American Golden Plover,the immature Buff-breasted Sandpiper, two Wheatears and a Peregrine. Off the Bridges of Ross there was one Leach’s Petrel, two Arctic Skuas, two Bonxies and ten Great Northern Divers.(DD & MG)
Off Black Head there were two Pomarine Skuas, two Bonxies, one Arctic Tern and ten Great Northern Divers. (Paul Troake)

Sixty Gadwall, 35 Shoveler, ten Mallard, three Wigeon and 15 Tufted Duck were at Coonagh (TT).

This juvenile Turtle Dove was in Kilbaha with Collared Doves John N Murphy

At Loop Head today there was one adult American Golden Plover, one Buff-breasted Sandpiper, one juvenile Turtle Dove, one 3rd Calendar year Mediterranean Gull, three Chiffchaff and one Merlin. (John N Murphy & Paidi Cullinan)

Highlights from Loop Head today were one Pomarine Skua, three Chiffchaff and 208 Golden Plover. (John N Murphy)
There were three Swallows at Doonbeg Golf Course and one adult Mediterranean Gull at Quilty. (Mark Gibson & Doug Dickson)

America Herring Gull at Ross Bay Doug Dickson

There was an AMERICAN HERRING GULL at Ross Bay this evening. (John N Murphy, Doug Dickson & Mark Gibson) This is only a third county record. Otherwise it was quiet at Loop with only one Buzzard, one Hen Harrier, one Merlin, two Chiffchaff and up to 400 Herring Gulls at Ross Bay. (John N Murphy)
One adult Mediterranean Gull was at Ballyallia. (Paidi Cullinan)

At Black Head this morning there were four Black-throated Divers and one Merlin at the Rine Point (Paidi Cullinan)
One Buzzard was at Spancilhill. (Iomhar Daly)

A Ruff, 65 Redshank, two Greenshank, five Dunlin, 12 Black-tailed Godwits, nine Golden Plover, 70 Lapwing, 40 Teal and 10 Mallard were at Robertstown (TT).
71 Redshank, 145 Curlew, 20 Teal, four Mallard, two Little Egrets and a Grey Heron were at Loughill (TT).
A Buzzard was at Rosbrien (TT).

Adult winter Sabine’s Gull on sea near Cloghaun Lough John N Murphy

Highlights at the annual BWI Outing to Loop Head today there were; one adult American Golden Plover, one Buff-breasted Sandpiper, one adult Sabine’s Gulls, one first-winter Mediterranean Gull, one Pomarine Skua, one Arctic Skua, four Merlin, two Peregrine and two Chiffchaff.
