One Spotted Flycatcher was at Crusheen along with three Buzzards. (John N Murphy)

Monday 11th May 2020

Two Scottish colour-ringed Lesser Black-backed Gulls were in Limerick City today. White 25E:C, a 4cy bird from Horse Isle, Ardrossan on the Firth of Clyde, was also seen in the City last September on its autumn passage southwards. The second bird, White 35C:C, also from Horse Isle, was ringed as a chick on 14/7/2018.

Seven Reed Warblers, 16 Gadwall, 13 Swifts, 79 Sand Martins, a Whitethroat and a Buzzard were at Coonagh.

Two drake Garganeys were at Coonagh (TT).
Brendan, a 4cy White-tailed Eagle from the Iveragh, Co. Kerry arrived in the Galtees on its first long distance movement out of it’s natal area.
