Sunday 12th March 2023

A drake Green-winged Teal was near Dysart, Corrofin. (James Organ)
One Velvet Scoter and the first Wheatear of the year was at Lahinch Bay. (Chris Cullen)
A 3CY White-tailed Eagle was at Fenloe Lake near the Cormorant colony. (John N Murphy)
There were 53 Brent Geese and two Tree Sparrows at Quilty. (CC)

Friday 10th March 2023

A sub-adult White-tailed Eagle was seen at the Cormorant colony at Bunlickey this morning (John N Murphy).
The bird was seen again later in the evening at the same location (Henry Wilkinson).
Two Hawfinches were at Curraghchase (Aidan Kelly).
A Yellowhammer was seen again for the second time this winter at Courtbrown, Askeaton (John Hewson).

At Lough Atedaun today there were four Ruff, 140 Black-tailed Godwits, 16 Pintail

Four Buzzards were over Fortane, Tulla with three at Craganowen. (John Collins)
There were four Buzzards together in the sunshine at Ballyheefy, Ogonelloe. (A.D.Smith)
At Lough Muckanagh late in the afternoon there was one female Hen Harrier, six Goldeneye & 40+ White-fronted Geese.(ADS)

This afternoon at Lough O’Grady there were four Buzzards in the air together, 180 Wigeon, 80 Teal, 20 Mallard and six Great Crested Grebes. (A.D.Smith)

Three of the five Ring-necked Ducks at Kilkee Reservoir John N Murphy

There were five Ring-necked Ducks at Kilkee Reservoir (three males and two hens).(John N Murphy) Also at the reservoir were 26 Tufted Duck, 18 Teal, six Little Grebe and the long staying Whooper Swan.
The first-winter Glaucous Gull was back on the beach at Kilkee. (JNM)
The three Barnacle Geese were near Goleen along with 52 Golden Plover and ten Chough.(JNM)
One Peregrine Was near Kilkee. (Stan Nugent)
A flock of 24 Purple Sandpipers were at Clahane.(Geoff Pearson)
A male Blackcap was at Oak Park, Ennis.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
