Female Red-crested Pochard at Lahinch Jeff Copner

One female Red-crested Pochard was at Lahinch Marsh. (Geoff Pearson & Jeff Copner) This is a first county record of this European duck.
Also at Lahinch was one Little Tern, two Arctic Terns and 12 Brent Geese.(John N Murphy et al)
There were 80 Purple Sandpipers at Seafield, Quilty. (JNM)

Two Crossbills were near Moanmore this evening.(JNM)

A 4cy Iceland Gull was at Arthur’s Quay and a 2cy bird was at Bishop’s Quay (TT).
An early Sedge Warbler was in song at Coonagh. Six Willow Warblers, a Blackcap and eight Gadwall were also present (TT).

The Black-winged Stilt was at Lough Donnell this morning.(Stan Nugent, Austin Cooney, Nuala and Tom Lynch)
At the Shannon Airport Lagoon early this morning there were a pair of Shoveler, two Wigeon, 120 Black-tailed Godwits and 13 calling Water Rails. (John N Murphy)
A flock of 63 Black-tailed Godwits were at Clenagh Lake. (JNM)
There were 46 Tufted Ducks still at Lough Gash.(JNM)

50 Golden Plover were on the Ballyhoura Mts.(James Mcgrath).
Four Buzzards were soaring near Carrigkerry (John N Murphy).
17 Gadwall, two Shelduck, five Tufted Duck, two Great Crested Grebes, a Blackcap and five Willow Warblers were at Coonagh (TT).
