A Buzzard was seen near the M20 to the south of Limerick City.
A pair of Buzzards was seen to the south of Limerick City.
Nine Cuckoos were recorded in west Limerick; five at Bauraneag, two at Knockdown and two at Knockathea. A pair of Ravens was also at Knockathea.
A great variety of birds was heard or seen at the Dawn Chorus outing to Glenstal including Spotted Flycatcher, Cuckoo, Blackcap, Jay and Siskin. A number of Bats, Red Deer and a Pine Martin were also seen.

A Wheatear was at Dromada, Athea.

A drake Garganey was found at Coonagh today (Tom Tarpey). This is the first record of the species for the site and the fifth for the County. Other notable migrants there were three Wheatears, 150 Black-tailed Godwits, 30 Dunlin and 20 Whimbrel. Summer visitors included two Cuckoos, singing Sedge Warblers and a single Whitethroat. A Raven was also noted passing over the site.

A White-tailed Eagle was seen this afternoon at Glensharrold, Carrigkerry (Moss O’Connor, Mike Flanagan). A Cuckoo was also seen in the area.
Seven Swift, six Whimbrel and a Dunlin were at the Charleville Lagooons.
Cuckoos were reported from Lough Gur, Drombanna, Bauraneag,Carrigkerry and Grouse Lodge, Ardagh.
A Whitethroat was also at Grouse Lodge.
Nine Blackcaps were recorded in one CBS tetrad at Currachase. Four House Martins were also seen in the area.

The young pair of White-tailed Eagles nesting at Mountshannon have continued to show great dedication to incubation duties, with both birds sharing the task and maintaining round the clock cover at the nest. The pair, a three year old female(green tag) and a four year old male(red tag), are exceptionally young breeders.
Two Swifts and two Whimbrel were seen at Mountshannon on the White-tailed Eagle nest watch.
