Seven Little Egrets were at the Coonagh Ponds this afternoon at high tide, along with a Jack Snipe, 24 Curlew, 17 Dunlin, 12 Ringed Plover, four Lapwing, three Redshank, two Greenshank, two snipe, 52 Pochard, 47 Tufted Duck, 42 Wigeon, 23 Teal, 22 Mallard, eight Shoveler, four Gadwall and two Great Crested Grebes.

A Short-eared Owl was found at Dromada in the west Limerick hills this morning(Geoff Hunt et al).
A Chiffchaff was seen at Carrig Aile, Lough Gur this afternoon.
The dark winged Iceland Gull and an adult Ring-billed Gull were seen on the Shannon again today.
37 Whooper Swans were on the Morning Star callows near Athlacca.

The dark 2nd winter Iceland Gull and an adult Ring-billed Gull were on the Shannon at Howley’s Quay in Limerick today.
A number of Jays were seen at Currachase.
