One Lapland Bunting was at Athea today (John N Murphy & Pat Ryan), along with nine Crossbills and one Merlin.

Four Crossbills were seen near Athea.
One Little Egret flew over the main road near the church at Robertstown Creek.

Black-headed Gull Yellow 208P was seen at Harvey’s Quay. The bird was ringed as a nestling at Lough Mask, Co. Mayo in June 2007, was first seen in Limerick in March 2009 and has been seen here on six occasions since.

A Buzzard, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, two Ravens, 30 Lapwing and 60 Lesser Black-backed Gulls were seen near Pallasgreen.

There were 58 Pochard, 56 Tufted Duck, 19 Wigeon, four Shoveler, two Gadwall, a Teal, a Scaup, 120 Lapwing, a Snipe, a Black-tailed Godwit, 11 Mute Swans, 126 Coot, six Moorhens, six Little Grebes and a Little Egret were at the Coonagh Lagoons today. A Kestrel, three Skylarks and a mixed flock of finches were also in the area.
A flock of 70 Wigeon, 50 Tufted Duck, 20 Teal, 17 Shoveler, 3 Gadwall, 25 Mute Swans, 20 Cormorants, a Water Rail, 16 Greylag Geese and 44 Whooper Swans were at Lough Gur.
