A Buzzard was at the N18 near Coonagh (Derek Casey).


Wednesday 12th January 2022

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was heard calling briefly at Curraghchase this morning (TT)
A Merlin was at Robertstown (TT).
Buzzards were seen at Askeaton and Ballycullen (TT).


Tuesday 11th January 2022

Single Merlins were seen today near Askeaton (TT) and Abbeyfeale.
Buzzards were seen at Ballysteen (Will O’Connor), Ellaha, Lismakeery, Creeves and Kildimo(TT)
Two Chiffchaffs and a Kingfisher were also seen at Abbeyfeale.

Two Glossy Ibis were seen near Mungret (Gerry Murphy).


Saturday 8th January 2022

A Blackcap was at Crecora (Derek Casey).


Friday 7th January 2022

A Glossy Ibis flew over the tunnel access road at Bunlicky (Geoff Hunt).


Thursday 6th January 2022

One Glosy Ibis was near Askeaton, (Finbar MacGabhann), along with 12 Little Egrets and a Buzzard. (FMcG & John N Murphy)
At O Callaghan’s Strand there was on adult Yellow-legged Gull. (JNM & FMacG)

An adult Kumlien’s Iceland Gull was at Thomond Weir this evening (TT)


Tuesday 4th January 2022

Two Glossy Ibis were in a field beside the N69 at Askeaton this morning (Will O’Connor).
A Great Spotted Woodpecker was heard drumming near the Yew wood in Curraghchase (Declan Hartnett).
