The adult American Golden Plover was still in the Horse Field at the Bridges of Ross (Noel Keogh).
The juvenile Osprey was still present at Lahinch salt marsh today (Tom Tarpey & Gerry Butler).
At the Bridges of Ross today there were four Balearic Shearwaters, 223 Sooty Shearwaters, 3,100 Manx Shearwaters, 45 Leach’s Petrels, three Storm Petrels, three Common Scoter, six Red-throated Divers, 19 Bonxies, five Arctic Skuas, three juvenile Long-tailed Skuas, two Litle Gulls, 22 Arctic Terns, one Sandwich Tern, one juvenile Black Tern, 35 Grey Phalaropes and three Puffins.
One Brent Goose was in Kilbaha Harbour.

The Opsrey was feeding at Lahinch Marsh (Dave McNamara).
There were three Grey Phalaropes, three Bonxies, four Arctic Skuas, one Leach’s Petrel, four Common Scoter and a Great Northern Diver at Black Head.
At the Bridges today there was one Balearic Shearwater, 87 Sooty Shearwaters, 700 Manx Shearwaters, 13 Leach’s Petrels, three Common Scoter, 39 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, four Red-throated Divers, one Great Northern Diver, 23 Bonxies, one dark adult Pomarine Skua, 17 Arctic Skuas, two juvenile Long-tailed Skuas, nine Arctic Terns, 12 Sandwich Terns, two Grey Phalaropes and four Puffins.
At the Rine, Ballyvaughan, a flock of seven Pink-footed Geese flew across the bay towards Bishopsquarter.
An adult Ring-billed Gull was at the south end of Seafield beach.
Also one peregrine was at Lough O Donnell, one peregrine was at Lahinch Marsh.
There were 30 Greylag Geese were at Lough Muchanagh.
A flock of 30 Wigeon were at Lough Murrey.

Off Black Head today between 07.45 and 11.20 there were 15 Arctic Skuas, one Pomarine Skua, one Bonxie, one Leach’s Petrel, one Balearic Shearwater, 800 Manx Shearwaters, 500 Gannets, 150 Kittiwakes 700 mixed Razorbills and Guillemots, 35 Fulmars, three Sandwich Terns, two Arctic Terns and one Great Northern Diver (Paul Troake).
At the Bridges of Ross were; one Balearic Shearwater, 123 Sooty Shearwater, 1,000 Manx Shearwaters, one Blue Fulmar, 32 Leach’s Petrels, eight Common Scoter, 18 Red-throated Divers, 71 Great Skuas, four Pomarine Skuas, 39 Arctic Skuas, three juvenile Long-tailed Skuas (Jason McManus & Niall T. Keogh), one adult Sabine’s Gull, 79 Kittiwakes, 28 Arctic Terns, 32 Sandwich Terns, 20 Grey Phalaropes, five Puffins, 12 Knot, two Golden Plover, two Dunlin, two Raven and four Chough.

A Buff-breasted Sandpiper flew in off the sea at the Bridges of Ross and headed west (Conor Foley et al).
The juvenile Osprey is still at Lahinch Marsh (Dave McNamara).
Off the Bridges of Ross today there were 262 Sooty Shearwaters, 44 Leach’s Petrels, 11 Storm Petrels, 16 Common Scoter, 242 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, two Red-throated Divers, 69 Bonxies, five Pomarine Skuas, 20 Arctic Skuas, two juvenile long-tailed Skuas, one juvenile Black Tern, 86 Arctic Terns, four Common Terns, 23 Sandwich Terns, four Grey phalaropes and ten Puffins.
One Lapland Bunting was also at the Bridges of Ross.

The second year American Golden Plover was still in the Horse Field at the Bridges of Ross (Brian Porter et al).
Of the Bridges were four Sooty Shearwaters, five Leach’s Petrels, three Common Scoter, 26 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, eight Red-throated Divers, 20 Bonxies, two juvenile Pomarine Skuas, 49 Arctic Skuas, one adult Long-tailed Skua, (Jim Bowman), one juvenile Sabine’s Gull, one juvenile Black Tern, 13 Grey Phalaropes and six Puffins.
One Lapland Bunting was also still hanging around in the Horse Field at the Bridges.

At the Bridges of Ross there were 14 Sooty Shearwaters, eight Leach’s Petrels, one Storm Petrel, two Common Scoter, 54 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, seven Red-throated Divers, six Grey Phalaropes, 28 Bonxies, one Pomarine Skua, 23 Arctic Skuas, two adult and two juvenile Sabine’s Gulls, one first-winter Little Gull, 16 Arctic Terns, ten Sandwich Terns, three Puffins and one Lapland Bunting in the Horse fields.

Tuesday 4th Sepetember 2012

The Buff-breasted Sandpiper was still in the fields next to the Bridges of Ross today (Niall T Keogh, Brian Finnegan & Jeff Copner).
The Osprey is still at Lahinch Marsh along with a juvenile Peregrine (Howard Williams).
Seawatching off the Bridges of Ross today produced two Great Shearwaters, one Balearic Shearwater, 2,300 Sooty Shearwaters, seven Bonxies, five Pomarine Skuas, four Arctic Skuas, six Puffins and ten Common Scoter.

A Buff-breasted Sandpiper was found in fields adjacent to the Bridges of Ross this morning, accompanied by three Golden Plover (Chris Jones, Niall T Keogh & Rob Innes).
The Opsrey is still showing well this morning at Lahinch Marsh (Dave McNamara).
