Lesser Yellowlegs at Moyasta John N Murphy


The LESSER YELLOWLEGS was still at Moyasta Creek (Austin Cooney & John N Murphy), along with seven Little Egrets.
A drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL was at Knock, along with one drake Goldeneye, ten Greater Scaup, 35 Shelduck, 90 Teal, 140 Wigeon, 60 Golden Plover and  five Great Northern Divers. (John N Murphy & Austin Cooney)

One Spotted Redshank, one adult Mediterranean Gull, 80 Brent Geese and two Little Egrets were at Corronroo Bay. (Dave McNamara)
There were two Little Egrets and two Great Northern Divers near Labasheeda. (John N Murphy & Austin Cooney)

The 16 Tree Sparrows were still east of Doonbeg along with 154 Curlew near the Skivileen River and 100 Golden Plover. (John N Murphy & Austin Cooney)

A flock of 70 Dunlin, 55 Lapwing, 20 Ringed Plover, five Redshank, a Grey Plover, a Great Northern Diver and an Otter were at Liscannor. (Nuala & Tom Lynch et al)
There were six Golden Plover, 15 Redshank, nine Stonechat and two Great Northern Diver were at Clahane. (Nuala & Tom Lynch et al)
Up to 42 Lapwing, 17 Curlew, 12 Wigeon, a Greenshank and a Little Egret were at the Inagh Estuary.(Nuala & Tom Lynch et al at the Clare Branch outing)

The first-winter Ring-billed Gull was still at the Post Office Field, Ennis today. (Barry Howell)
A large flock of 38 Tree Sparrows were in fields mid way between Seafield and Lough Donnell near Quilty.(Jeff Copner)
One male and one female Hen Harrier were at Doonagore Bog. (Dave McNamara)
There were four Black-throated Divers and 25 Skylarks at Finvarra Point. (Dave McNamara)

The first-winter Ring-billed Gull was still in the Post Office Field, Ennis (Barry Howell).
A male Peregrine, 480 Wigeon, 156 Black-headed Gull, 140 Wood Pigeon, 127 Lapwing, 86 Coot, 84 Teal, 75 Little Grebe, 74 Tufted Duck, 37 Shoveler, 10 Cormorant, seven Black-tailed Godwit, four Gadwall, four Great-crested Grebe, two Pintail Duck, two Common Gull and a Treecreeper were at Ballyallia. Three Crossbills were at Slieve Elva (Dave McNamara).
One Peregrine and a Merlin were at Clahane, Liscannor Bay (Dave McNamara).
Five Jay were at Lees Road Wood (Nuala and Tom Lynch).
There were 44 Whooper Swans at Ballygireen, Newmarket-on-Fergus early this morning (John N Murphy).

The first-winter Ring-billed Gull was in the Post Office Field Ennis along with 74 Black-headed Gull and three Cormorants (Nuala & Tom Lynch).
A female and male Blackcap were at Oak Park Ennis (Nuala & Tom Lynch).

Female Black Redstart near Quilty John N Murphy

There was one immature/female Black Redstart along the seashore midway between Seafield, Quilty and Lough Donnell (John N Murphy).
At Seafield there was one Little Egret, one Long-tailed Duck, one second-winter Glaucous Gull, ten Great Northern Divers and a flock of 46 Skylarks (John N Murphy).
In fields opposite the Bell Bridge Hotel Spanish point were one third year Ring-billed Gull, 102 Oystercatchers, 60 Golden Plover, 112 Curlew and 106 Common Gulls (John N Murphy).
In the Post Office Field Ennis there was one first-winter Ring-billed Gull, two Lesser Black-backed Gulls, five Canada Geese and four Cormorants (John N Murphy).
A flock of 13 Whooper Swans were seen flying over the middle of Ennis Town (John N Murphy).
There were 32 Whooper Swans at Ballygireen, Newmarket-on-Fergus (John N Murphy).
Four Blackcaps were at Barefield (2 males & 2 females) (Phil McInerney).
One Dipper was near the metal bridge at Ballymacooda, Darragh this afternoon (John N Murphy).

Six Black-throatedDivers, 20 Great Northern Divers, one Little Egret and one Chough were off the Rine, Ballyvaughan (Dave McNamara).

First winter Iceland Gull ©Tom Tarpey

A 1st winter Iceland Gull was on the Custom House pontoon in Limerick City this morning. There was also a notable increase in Herring Gulls in the City following the recent stormy weather.
A German ringed adult Black-headed Gull (White A861) was seen at Clancy’s Strand. The bird was ringed at a wetland in the centre of Hamburg on 10/2/2013 and it was also seen at Callanstoog on the west coast of Holland on 4/12/2014.
The Brambling and Blackcap were seen in Monaleen again today.
