One Velvet Scoter, three Black-throated Divers, 19 Great Northern Divers, 50 Common Scoter, nine Long-tailed Duck one Sandwich Tern and 65 Golden Plover were at Aughinish Island causeway (Paul Troake & Finbarr MacGabhann).
Off Black Head near Gleninagh there were 41 Black-throated Divers, three Red-throated Divers, 27 Great Northern Diver, 15 Red-breasted Mergansers and 18 Common Scoter (FMacG).
At Bishop’s Quarter there was one Long-tailed Duck, 18 Great Northern Divers and 15 Common Scoter (FMacG).
There were 198 Brent Geese at Lough Murree (FMacG).
A flock of 14 Greylag Geese were at Lough Atedaun (FMacG).

One adult male Snow Bunting was in the grounds of Loop Head Lighthouse this morning (John N Murphy & Elaine Keegan).
There was one Kingfisher at Carrigaholt and another in Kilbaha Harbour (JNM & EK).
One Merlin was at the White Strand, Doonbeg (EK & JNM).
Two Tree Sparrows were at Doonbeg (JNM & EK).
A flock of 42 Whooper Swans were at Farrihy Lake (EK & JNM).
There were 80 Brent Geese at Querrin Creek (JNM & EK).

One Black Redstart was near the Cliffs of Moher (Janne & Hanna Aalto).
One Common Sandpiper was at Clarecastle Quay (John N Murphy).
One female Hen Harrier was at Lough Atedaun (Janne & Hanna Aalto).
The drake Greater Scaup was still at Ballyallia Lake (Finbarr MacGabhann).
There were 36 Greylag Geese, 50 Tufted Ducks and four Goldeneye at Fenloe Lake (JNM).

Snipe at Lough Gash John N Murphy

There was one Ring-billed Gull at the Post Office Field this afternoon (Finbar MacGabhann) with a second-winter bird at Killimer (John N Murphy & Paidi Cullinan).
One Short-eared Owl was near Clarecastle (JNM & PC).
There were two Spotted Redshank, two Mediterranean Gulls and two Little Egrets at Coronroo Bay (Jeff L Copner).
There were 16 White-fronted Geese at Tullagher Bog (JNM & PC).
Six Tree Sparrows were at Doonbeg (JNM & PC)
There were nine Red-throated Divers, 250 Golden Plover, 80 Wigeon, 60 Dunlin and eight Grey Plover at Doughmore Bay (JNM).
There were 220 Brent Geese and 40 Tufted Duck at Lough Murree (JLC).
At Clonderlaw Bay there were 62 Great Crested Grebes, seven Little Egret, three Great Northern Divers and 2,000 Black-headed Gulls (JNM & PC).
At Aughinish Island there were eight Long-tailed Duck, 12 Black Guillemot, five Little Egrets and eight Grey Plover (JLC).
There were 82 Whooper Swans at Ballygireen (JNM).
A small flock of 32 Whooper Swans were in fields close to Kilkee Reservoir (JNM).
A flock of 200 Golden Plover and eight Chough were near Moveen, Kilkee (JNM).
Five Little Egrets were at Ballyallia Lake (JNM).
One female Blackcap was at Moore Street, Kilkrush (JNM).
There were 18 Gadwall at Lough Gash (JNM).
There were 16 Brent Geese and five Great Northern Divers at Ballynacrenan Bay (JNM & PC).

Eight Waxwings were seen feeding on a crabapple tree on the Corbally Road this morning (Blair McClure), a nice start to the new year!
A Buzzard was at Clonshire, Adare (Geoff Hunt).
Two Greenshanks, six Redshanks, a Kingfisher, two Little Egrets, two Grey Herons and a Kestrel were on the Maigue at Adare.(Geoff Hunt)

Greater Scaup drake at Ballyallia Lake John N Murphy

Two Spotted Redshanks, six Mediterranean Gulls and two Little Egrets were at Coronroo Bay (John N Murphy & Paidi Cullinan).
At Aughinish Island there was one Velvet Scoter, 60 Common Scoter, four Long-tailed Duck, 250 Golden Plover, 40 Grey Plover, 200 Dunlin, 80 Curlew and two adult Mediterranean Gulls (John N Murphy).
Two Short-eared Owls and a male Hen Harrier were near Clarecastle this evening (Paidi Cullinan).
There were two Black-throated Divers, 27 Red-throated Divers and 33 Common Scoter at Lahinch (Finbarr MacGabhann).
Up to 10 Common Scoter, three Black-throated Diver and a Whimbrel were at Coolsiva Pier (PC).
There was a flock of 40 White-fronted Geese at Lough Muckanagh (JNM).
A small party of 14 White-fronted Geese were at Tullagher Bog (FMacG).
There were 25 Barnacle Geese on Mutton Island with 8 Purple Sandpipers, 150 Dunlin, 60 Sanderling and 50 Turnstone at Seafield Quilty (FMacG).
A flock of 76 Brent Geese, 200 Wigeon and 40 Tufted Duck were at Lough Murree (JNM).
Three Long-tailed Duck were off Finvarra Point (JNM).
Two Little Egrets were at Lahinch Marsh (FMacG).
Two Tree Sparrows were at Doonbeg (FMacG).
One Blackcap was at the Hermitage in Ennis (JNM).
One drake Greater Scaup was at Ballyallia Lake along with 60 Tufted Duck (JNM).
There were 50 Whooper Swans at Dromore Lake (JNM).

One of the two Short-eared Owls at Clarecastle Howard Williams

One Marsh Harrier flew west over Applewood, Ballycar and out over Ballycar Lough being hrassaed by crows (John N Murphy).
One Velvet Scoter was off Aughinish Island (Eamonn McLoughlainn).
There were two Short-eared Owls, 200 Lapwing and two Little Egrets near Clarecastle (Howard Williams, John N Murphy & Paidi Cullinan).
At the Bridges of Ross and Loop Head there were five drake Common Scoter, 72 Curlew, 190 Golden Plover and two Chough (Paidi Cullinan).
