A Continental Cormorant was at Arthurs Quay (TT).
An adult and a 3rd winter Ring-billed Gull were at O’Callaghan’s Strand (TT).
A 3rd winter Yellow-legged Gull was at Bishop’s Quay and a juvenile Shag was at Harvey’s Quay (TT).

A Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Ruff and 11 Redshank were at Ballyallia(Paidi Cullinan)
Thirty Whooper were at Farrihy.(Dixie Collins)


Monday 24th December 2018

A juvenile Shag and 218 Greylag Geese were on the Shannon at Mill Road, Corbally this evening (TT).


Thursday 20th December 2018

A 3cy male White-tailed Eagle was seen at St Thomas’s Island, Parteen (Maire Lysaght). It has Blue and Orange No.6 wing tags and is from a 2016 nest on the Beara peninsula in Kerry. This is the first sighting outside it’s natal area.

A ringtail Hen Harrier was at Tubber(Páidí Cullinan)
Thirty five Greylag Geese were at Lake Muckanagh, 30 at Termon and 5 more at Lake Atedaun.(PC)


Tuesday 18th December 2018

A female type Goosander was seen on the Shannon between Corbally and St.Thomas’s Island (Pat Lysaght),


Wednesday 18th December 2018

The White-tailed Eagle was at Ballyallia this afternoon.(Cliff Baxter)


Saturday 15th December 2018

A male and female Peregrine were the highlights of the Clare Branch outing to Ballyallia today along with a good selection of wildfowl and waders.(Nuala and Tom Lynch, Maura Turner, Jim Nolan et al)
