A Richard’s Pipit was found at an undisclosed site in Limerick today (Davy Farrar). The site is private and not accessible. This great find is a first record of the species for the County.

Iceland Gull at Kilkee John N Murphy

One Black Redstart and a first-winter Iceland Gull were at Kilkee.(John N Murphy)
One Short-eared Owl was near Islandavanna today. (Chris Cullen)
Flying south-west along the sea in an area just west of Kilkee was one adult-winter Little Gull, one Bonxie, one Manx Shearwater and one Red-throated Diver. (JNM)
Also west of Kilkee there was one first- winter Mediterranean Gull in a field amongst a flock of 200 Black-headed Gulls. (JNM)
