One Semi-palmated Sandpiper was observed feeding within a flock of Dunlin and Redshank on the rising tide this evening at Islandavanna,(John N Murphy) along with one Kingfisher.
A one hour sea watch (12.00-13.00) off Castle Point, Kilkee today produced one Grey Phalarope, one Storm Petrel, six Red-throated Divers, 400 Kittiwake, 196 Guillemot, 200 Fulmar, 32 Golden Plover and one Merlin.(JNM)
One immature male Hen Harrier was hunting fields around the White Strand, Doonbeg, while four Red-throated Divers flew south west past the beach. (JNM)

A distant shot of one of the three Blue Fulmars off Castle Point John N Murphy

At lunchtime today (12.30 – 13.30) off Castle Point, Kilkee there was a good seabird passage of 1,800 Fulmar, three Blue Fulmar, one immature Pomarine Skua, one Manx Shearwater, two Great Northern Divers, 115 Guillemot, ten Razorbills, 70 Kittiwake and 15 Brent Geese.(John N Murphy)
At Kilkee Reservoir there was one female Goldeneye a good record for this location. (JNM)
