There were 400 Golden Plover and a Common Sandpiper at Clahane.(Geoff Pearson)

One adult Long-tailed Skua, one Arctic Tern, two Red-throated Diver and three Manx Shearwater were at the Bridges of Ross this morning.(Éanna O’Flynn)

One Sooty Shearwater, two Great Northern Diver and one Puffin were at the Bridges of Ross this afternoon. Eight Purple Sandpiper were at Seafield.(GP)


Wednesday 29th October 2025

A juvenile White-tailed Eagle (Tag 76) was at Ballydonoghue, Glin (TT).

An adult Mediterranean Gull was at Robertstown (TT).


Tuesday 28th October 2025

The Great White Egret was still at Ballyallia Lake this morning. ( John N Murphy & Andy Smith)

One Common Sandpiper was at Clahane with 120 Golden Plover at Sandfield. (JNM & AS)

There was one Snow Bunting, six Purple Sandpipers, 200 Ringed Plover and 200 Sanderling at Seafield, Quilty. (JNM & AS)

Over 400 Golden Plover were at Goleen. (JNM & AS)

There were two Curlew Sandpiper at Shannon Airport Lagoon.(Paul Troake)

There were 260 Golden Plover at the Fodry, Loop Head. Two Chiffchaff were at Tevlin’s Garden and another at Connolly’s Garden, Kilbaha.(Anthony Mee)

13 Whooper Swans were at Fedamore (TT).


Monday 27th October 2025

There was one Green Sandpiper at Loughvella.(Chris Cullen)

A White-tailed Eagle with a dark red tag was at Ballyallia. Looked like 1st/2nd CY bird. A Great White Egret and three Whooper Swan were at Drumcliffe.(James Organ)


Saturday 25th October 2025

Two Merlin were at the Lighthouse, Loop Head. A Chiffchaff was at Tevlin’s Garden, Kilbaha. A family party of two adults and four juvenile Whooper Swans were at Cloughaun Lough. There were two Chiffchaff and a female Blackcap at lower Feard Cross.(Anthony Mee)

A male Marsh Harrier was at Lough Atedaun.(James Organ)


Friday 24th October 2025

A Hoopoe was at Carrownacalla North this afternoon.(per West Clare Wildlife)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was at bird feeder in a private garden in Doora.(Howard Williams)
