Two of the four Barnacle Geese at Loop Head today John N Murphy

A Great White Egret was at Sandfield Marsh near Liscannor. One of the albino Hen Harriers was at Lahinch Marsh.(Geoff Pearson)

At Loop Head and Kilbaha there was one Yellow-browed Warbler, one Short-eared Owl, three Willow Warblers, one Chiffchaff, four Barnacle Geese, three Wheatear and over 400 Snipe. (John N Murphy, Paul Connuaghton & Andre Robinson)

One adult Mediterranean Gull, one Whimbrel, 50 Golden Plover & 160 Snipe were at Doonbeg. (JNM)

One female Bullfinch was just outside Kilkee, a scarce bird in west Clare. (JNM)

At Ross Ringing Station this evening there were two Sandwich Terns, one Manx Shearwater, one Greenshank and a Brent Goose. (JNM)

One Leach’s Petrel was at the Bridges of Ross. (Brian McCluskey)

There was one Glossy Ibis, two White-tailed Eagle and 300 Black-tailed Godwit at Lake Atedaun. A first winter type Marsh Harrier was at O’Toole’s Lough.(James Organ)

At Kilbaha and Loop Head there were two Willow Warblers, two Chiffchaff, two White Wagtails, one Greenland Wheatear & 260 Golden Plover. (John N Murphy)

American Buff-bellied Pipit at Clahane Jeff Copner

A Buff-Bellied Pipit and a Black Redstart were at Clahane. The 4th County record. (Jeff Copner, James Organ et al)

At Finvarra Point between 07.45-09.05 there were 91 Storm Petrel, five Leach’s Petrel and two Grey Phalarope.(Paul Troake)

Three Willow Warblers, one Chiffchaff, two Wheatears, over170 Golden Plover and a Merlin were at Loop Head. (John N Murphy)

This evening off Ross Ringing Station there were two Great Northern Diver and a flock of 35 Arctic Terns. (JNM)

Dark immature Long-tailed Skua off Bridges of Ross John N Murphy

In the Plover Fields at Loop Head an American Golden Plover was among a flock of 70 Golden Plover. Out to sea off Loop, there were two juvenile Sabine’s Gull and 12 Grey Phalarope.(John N Murphy)

A seawatch of the Bridges of Ross today between 07.25-18.00 produced three Wilson’s Petrel, 45 Leach’s Petrel, 135 Storm Petrel, 239 Grey Phalarope, 72 Bonxie, 31 Arctic Skua, five adult Pomarine Skua, one juvenile Long-tailed Skua, nine juvenile Sabine’s Gull, 11 Great Shearwater, 36 Sooty Shearwater, 36 Arctic Tern, two juvenile Little Gull and seven Great Northern Diver.(Killian Mullarney, AGK, JNM, G Wycherley, Geoff Pearson, K Colhoun)

At Carnsefin between 08.10-08.40 there were seven Arctic Skua one Bonxie and a juvenile Arctic Tern. At Black Head between 08.55-11.25 there was one adult Pomarine Skua, five Arctic Skua and 60 Storm Petrel. Four Leach’s Petrel flew past Finvarra Point early this afternoon.(Paul Troake)

At Lurga Point, Seafield there were nine Sabine’s Gull, five Leach’s Petrel, two Storm Petrel, one Black-throated Diver, two Red-throated Diver and eight Curlew Sandpiper. Two Arctic Tern were at Quilty.(Jeff Copner)

Glossy Ibis at Kilbaha John N Murphy

A juvenile Glossy Ibis was in Kilbaha today (Chris Cullen & John N Murphy) There were also five Greenland Wheatear throughout the headland.

One Yellow-browed Warbler was heard calling at the back of Connolly’s garden in Kilbaha. (JNM)

A seawatch off the Bridges of Ross Car Park produced three Corys Shearwaters, over 200 Great Shearwaters, 3,500 Sooty Shearwaters (ph), six Bonxie, two Pomarine Skuas, one Leach’s Petrel, 18 Storm Petrels, three Grey Phalaropes, one Common Scoter and one Arctic Tern. (JNM & CC)

A Ruff and 5 Mediterranean Gulls, (3 adults, a 2cy & a1cy) were at Loughill along with 628 Black-headed Gulls, 89 Common Gulls, five Herring Gulls and two Lesser Black-backed Gulls (Tom Tarpey).

An adult Little Gull was at Glin (TT).

A juvenile White-tailed Eagle (Tag 74) was at Ballydonoghoe, Glin (TT).
