One adult WHITE-TAILED EAGLE was at Mountshannon (John N Murphy), with 40 Whooper Swans and 40 Greylag Geese in fields on the Scariff road out of Mountshannon near Oakpark.

There were two Glaucous Gulls (one first-winter & one second winter) and three Iceland Gulls (one adult, one first-winter & one second-winter) at Loop Head this morning. (John N Murphy & Finbarr MacGabhann)

Two Whooper Swans were on the callows east of Athlacca. Whooper Swan numbers appear to be very low in Limerick this winter. No significant flocks have been reported yet from the traditional wintering areas.
