A Willow Warbler was in song at Gooig Bog today. This is the first for the County this year.
Swallows were seen in Ballyorgan and Bruff today (Tony Mee).

One Swallow was at Liscannor with another at Kincardine (Adrian Glasgow), these were the first of the year in Clare.

Swallows was seen at Ballysheedy (Ger Griffin) and Ballyorgan (Tony Mee) today.
A migrating flock of 29 Golden Plover came in to rest at Patririckswell, Lough Gur while several Chiffchaffs were in song in the wider area.
There were much reduced numbers of birds at Tarbert Bay today with just two Little Egrets, two Shelduck, seven Redshank, three Greenshank, three Oystercatchers and a single Curlew present

Redshank at Tarbert Bay Geoff Hunt
14 Sand Martins, the first reported in Limerick this year, were seen at Arthurs Quay, Limerick City this afternoon while a Chiffchaff was in song at Westfields.
The evening high tide roost at Coonagh held 101 Redshank and two Greenshank. Ten Gadwall and four Pochard were also present at the site.
Two Little Egrets, 85 Teal, 12 Mallard, 35 Shelduck, 15 Knot, 32 Redshank, nine Greenshank, 23 Black-tailed Godwits three Oystercatchers and a Curlew were at Trabert Bay (Geoff Hunt).

Three Swallows were seen at Adare Manor today (Michael Quish). This is the first report of the species this spring.

The first Willow Warbler of the year was heard singing this morning at Stonehall, Newmarket-on-Fergus along with one Chiffchaff, (Philip Brennan)

One Iceland gull was seen today on Doonbeg Strand, feeding on cetacean remains, was probably the same bird from Kilkee a frew days previously. (Andrew Power, Seán Kelly & Peter Cutler)

A male Hen Harrier was seen near Kilfinane (Robert Imbusch).
A flock of 40 Sand Martins was seen on the Clare side of the Shannon near Clonlara (Maura Turner).
