There is obviously an irruption of Crossbills at present, two immatures were at Booltiagh, near Kilmaley.

A Hen Harrier was seen near Kerrikyle, Ardagh today. Hen Harrier sightings in the traditional breeding areas have been extremely scarce this summer, raising concerns about further declines in the breeding population in Limerick.
