The drake Green-winged Teal was at the Shannon Airport Lagoon (Jeff Copner, Frank O’Duffy et al). A Slavonian Grebe was at Liscannor Bay (Dave McNamara), along with 120 Common Scoter, 25 Red-throated Divers, 19 Brent Geese and one first-year Glaucous Gull. There were 35 Long-tailed Ducks and 80+ Common Scoters off Aughinish. The second-winter Glaucous Gull was at Clahane beach? Five Littel Egrets were at the Falls, Ennistymon. A male and female Blackcap were at Oak Park Ennis.

The first-year drake Lesser Scaup was at Lough Gash (John N Murphy, Conor Foley & Mark Stewart). The drake Ring-necked Duck was at Roo Lough on the Clare Galway border (Conor Foley & Mark Stewart). One second year Glaucous Gull was at Clahane, Liscannor. A flock of 250 Brent Geese were at Newquay but no sign of the Black Brant.

A Black-browed Albatross was at Lahinch this morning midway between the beach and the Liscannor Pier (David English). There were two Little Auks and one adult-winter Little Gull off Black Head.

Three Hawfinches were at Curraghchase (Mike Flanagan, Graham Mitchell, Tom Tarpey and Maura Turner).
News came through today of a photograph taken on Nov. 17th last in Curraghchase showing a Hawfinch (see below), so it looks like the birds have been around for a few months at least.
Five Greylag Geese, 140 Teal and three Mute Swans were at Knockaderry.
131 Pochard, 55 Tufted Duck, 97 Wigeon, 26 Teal, nine Mallard, a Gadwall, three Whooper Swans, a Little Egret and 100 Greylag Geese(flyover) were at Coonagh.
35 Mallard, 18 Shoveler, 13 Teal, 22 Pochard and 26 Tufted Duck were at Westfields.

The drake Ring-necked Duck was at Ro Lough on the Clare/Galway border again today (John N Murphy). Two Spotted Redshanks and a Little Egret were at Coronroo Bay. Two Black-throated Divers were at Ballyvaughan. There was no sign of the Black Brant at New Quay. An adult Forster’s Tern was at Kinvarra, County Galway (John N Murphy).
