280 Tufted Duck, 132 Wigeon, 50 Teal, 36 Mallard, 24 Shoveler, 22 Coot, 41 Mute Swans and three Whooper Swans were at Lough Gur.
Five Whooper Swans were at Athlacca.
The adult Ring-billed Gull was at Sarsfield Lock along with a colour-ringed Common Gull, Red AE02, which was ringed as a chick near Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein in northeastern Germany in June 2010.
A very large Starling murmuration, estimated to contain about 50,000 birds, was seen at Liskennet, Croom this evening.

The immature drake Lesser Scaup was at Lough Gash along with a possible female (Dermot O Mahony).
A Red-throated Diver was just off Liscannor Pier and over 300 Redwing were in nearby fields along with 20 Fieldfare.
Fifty two Whooper Swan were on Ballyallia Lake at Drumcliffe as well as one Little Egret.
A male Blackcap was at a garden in Oak Park Ennis.

The immature drake Lesser Scaup was still at Lough Gash (John N Murphy et al), but there was no sign of the female and the Tufted Ducks are down to 20 birds.
One drake Green-winged Teal was at the Sannon Airport Lagoon (John N Murphy). Also at the SAL were 120 Teal, 24 Gadwall, 16 Shoveler, 200 Lapwing, 200 Redshanks, 50 Knot, 150 Dunlin, one Little Egret and two Water Rail.
The Common Buzzard that was taken into captivity before the Christmas made a great recovery and was released today at an undisclosed site on the Shannon Estuary.
A fully white albino Great Northern Diver was back at Black Head for the sixth consecutive winter.
One Little Egret was at Ing in the Fergus Estuary.
Two Jay were at Lees Road Wood this afternoon.
A male Blackcap was in a garden in Oak Park Ennis.

The immature drake Lesser Scaup was at Lough Gash but the female has departed the lake (John N Murphy). Duck numbers were very low on he lough.
One Little Egret, 31 Greylag Geese, one Jay and two Ravens were at the North side of Ballyallia Lake.
A flock of 300 Black-tailed Godwits were at Lough Atedaun of which two birds were wearing colour leg bands.
One Great Northern Diver was at Lough Muchanagh.

Nine Waxwings were seen near the Old Crescent rugby grounds at Rossbrien.
Ten Waxwings were at the Golf Links Road, Castletroy this evening.

The first-winter drake Lesser Scaup was at Lough Gash with a possible female bird that was accompanying the young male (John N Murphy & Andy Smith). Also at Lough Gash were the drake and hen Greater Scaup, 40 Tufted Ducks and 60 Little Grebes.
