On the dropping tide at the Shannon Airport Lagoon this afternoon there were 12 Curlew Sandpipers, 500 Dunlin, 20 Knot, 300 plus Golden Plover, 22 Grey Plover, 1,000 Black-tailed Godwits and 180 Redshank.

Wheatear (Tom Tarpey)
There was two Curlew Sandpipers, 20 Dunlin, 105 Redshank, 11 Greenshank, 80 Golden Plover, 30 Lapwing, ten Black-tailed Godwits, six Curlew and two Little Egrets at Robertstown.
A Wheatear, 40 Redshank, three Greenshank and 30 Curlew were at Loughill.
Arctic Terns were visible at a number of locations in the lower Shannon Estuary. Swallows were also very much in evidence at several locations near the Estuary.

At the Shannon Airport Lagoon this afternoon there were five Curlew Sandpipers on the mudflats along with 200 Dunlin, 235 Golden Plover, 350 Redshank, while in the lagoon itself there were five Water Rails, 16 Shoveler, 22 Wigeon, four Gadwall, eight Little Egrets and 50 Teal.
Three juv/female Wheatears were on the approach road wall and four Migrant Hawker Dragonflies and one Brown Hawker were on the boundary track at the west embankment.
One Curlew Sandpiper was at Liscannor.

One Snow Bunting was at Loop Head today along with 34 Chough.
At the Shannon Airport Lagoon this afternoon there was one female Hen Harrier, 14 Shoveler, two Wigeon, six Gadwall, 70 Teal, four Little Egrets and 1200 Black-tailed Godwits were on the mudflats.
Five Curlew Sandpipers were at Seafield, Quilty.
There were 25 Crossbills at Gortcoirce, Dysart.
One Ruff was at Lough Atedaun.

One Spotted Flycatcher and female Blackcap were at Loop Head Lighthous along with 25 Wheatears, 26 Chough and a Merlin throughout the headland.
One Great Northern Diver in summer plumage flew in towards Fanore just north of Doolin.

Today at Loop Head there was one Garden Warbler, four Lapland Buntings, six Chiffchaff, one Willow Warbler, 16 Chough, one Merlin and one dark-phased Arctic Skua in Kilbaha Bay.
Two Ruff were at Kilcredaun Marsh.

One immature Blue-winged Teal was at Kilcredaun Marsh today (Dave McNamara), along with nine Ruff and two Curlew Sandpiper on the beach at Rinneville.
One Reed Warbler was at Loop Head Lighthouse.
Another Ruff was at Doonbeg Lough.
One Peregrine was at the Fodry, Loop Head.

Two Lapland Buntings, one Tree Sparrow, a flock of 30 Golden Plovers and a Peregrine were the highlights at Loop Head today.
There was a small flock of seven Ruff on flooded fields and on the beach at Rineville Bay near Kilcredaun Marsh. Also on the beach at Rineville were four juvenile Curlew Sandpipers.
Up to ten Curlew Sandpipers, a flock of 300 Dunlin, 45 Wigeon, 80 Teal, a Peregrine and eight Little Egrets were at Poulnasherry Bay.
One adult Mediterranean Gull was on the beach at Kilkee.
Two Little Egrets were at Querrin.

One Ortolan Bunting was in the same field as the Pectoral Sandpiper just outside Quilty this morning (Paul Troake).
Four Curlew Sandpipers were at Seafield, Quilty.
