Clare Bird Sightings

A Whitethroat was singing at Ballagh near Lickeen Lake.(Geoff Pearson)

A Grasshopper Warbler was at Ennistymon Bog.(Geoff Pearson)

Great Spotted Woodpeckers were heard drumming simultaneously at two locations near Oatfield. At least two other birds were also seen in the area at the time.  A Cuckoo was also in the area (Tom Tarpey, Maura Turner & Mary Cavanagh)

There were 30 Purple Sandpiper at Clahane.(Geoff Pearson)

There were three Common Tern and 200 Golden Plover at Lough Graney.(Paul Troake)
