The Night Heron was seen again this evening near Adare (Geoff Hunt).

45 Whimbrel, five family groups of Greylag Geese, a drake Shoveler, a drake Teal, three Gadwall, 16 Mallard, two drake Pochard, two drake Tufted Duck, three Great Crested Grebes, a Little Egret, a Cuckoo and numerous singing Sedge and Willow Warblers were at Coonagh this evening (TT).

A Swift was seen in Monaleen (TT).

The Night Heron was seen again today near Adare (Tom Tarpey, Andrew Holmes, Paidi Cullinane & Seamus Feeney). A Buzzard was also seen nearby.

The Night Heron was seen again today near Adare (Mick Madden, Mark Stewart and Ger Murray).
A Buzzard was seen at the Raheen Industrial Estate (Andrew Holmes).
170 Whimbrel, 300 Black-tailed Godwits and seven Gadwall were seen on the Shannon Estuary between Beagh Castle and Courtbrown (Paul Troake).

Night Heron near Adare John N Murphy

An adult Night Heron was seen in a private site near Adare today (Mick Madden, John N Murphy and Tom Tarpey). The bird was first seen there last Friday (21/4).

75 Whimbrel, a Common Sandpiper, a pair of Ringed Plover, two Snipe, 20 Gadwall, a pair of Shelduck, a drake Teal and a drake Pochard were at Coonagh today along with numerous Willow Warblers, Sedge Warblers and Whitethroats (TT).
Two 2nd calendar year Iceland Gulls were at Harvey’s Quay, Limerick City (TT).
