The Lesser Yellowlegs was seen at Moyasta Creek again this evening (Tom Tarpey).
Two Arctic Skuas were present with a feeding flock of Kittwakes and Gannets just south of Kilbaha Harbour today. There was a flock of 65 Golden Plover and a Snipe near Loop Head, 55 Lapwing at Ross Bay, c. 60 Chaffinchs and at least 12 Song Thrushes at Kilbaha. A Peregrine, three Greenshank, five Redshank, 22 Teal and 20 Mallard were at Cloghaun Lough.

The Hoopoe was seen again today at Ballyvockogue, Askeaton (L O’Brien, M Flanagan, G Hunt & T Tarpey).
Two Green Sandpipers were seen at a private reservoir near Templeglantine.
A Pectoral Sandpiper was seen at small lake at Dromtreasna, Abbeyfeale (Geoff Hunt).
Leave a commentA Hoopoe was seen in a private garden near Askeaton daily since last Monday (Linda O’Brien). This is the fourth record of the species in the County. The previous records date back to the 19th century, 1965 and January 2010.

Eight Gadwall and 11 Wigeon were at the Coonagh Nature Reserve.
