A Stock Dove, 14 Little Egrets, 12 Lapwing and 25 Black-tailed Godwits were at Coonagh today. A Black-tailed Skimmer dragonfly was also seen at the site for the first time.

Three Hen Harriers (two males and a female) were seen at seperate locations in the west Limerick uplands.

A Hen Harrier was seen near Kerrikyle, Ardagh today. Hen Harrier sightings in the traditional breeding areas have been extremely scarce this summer, raising concerns about further declines in the breeding population in Limerick.

Monday 10th June 2013

A pair of Garganey was seen in a drainage channel to the east of the Coonagh Nature Reserve today(Cliff Baxter). A Little Egret and a Stock Dove were also seen nearby.
