Great Crested Grebe at Clancy’s Strand (Tom Tarpey)

Three Reed Warblers, three Grasshopper Warblers, ten Whimbrel, 12 Gadwall and two Pochard were at Coonagh (TT).
A Great Crested Grebe was an unusual visitor on the Shannon at Clancy’s Strand (TT).
An adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, Black 047:C ringed in Scotland, was at Arthur’s Quay (TT).

A Reed Warbler was at Shannon Airport Lagoon this morning.(JNM)

A Cuckoo was at Rosmadda, Parteen (Tom Tarpey).
Seven Whimbrel were on the head race at Newtown, Clonlara (TT).
Five Manx Shearwater were off Castle Point, Kilkee.(JNM)

Two Buzzards were at Crecora and another was at Greenmount (Derek Casey).
Two Buzzards were at Grange (Maura Turner & Tom Tarpey).

A Common Sandpiper and a 2cy Iceland Gull were at O’Callaghan’s Strand (TT).
Cuckoos was at Doon (Fergus Flood) and Cratloe East, Abbeyfeale (Paul O’Connell).
Single Buzzards were seen at Ballysimon and Greenmount, Patrickswell (Derek Casey).

The Whimbrel migration is almost at its peak with many birds along the west Clare coast today John N Murphy

There were 12 Manx Shearwaters off Castle Point Kilkee. (John N Murphy)

There were 90 summer plumage Golden Plover and seven Wheatear at Moveen. (JNM)
