Female Ring-necked Duck at Lough Gash John N Murphy

The female Ring-necked Duck was still with the 60 Tufted Ducks at Lough Gash this morning (John N Murphy).
There was another Yellow-browed warbler at Seafied, Quilty this afternoon (JNM).

One of the three Yellow-browed Warblers at Kilkee today John N Murphy

There were three Yellow-browed Warblers at Kilkee today (John N Murphy).
Two Yellow-browed Warblers were caught and ringed at Kilbaha (Phil Brennan).
One female Ring-necked Duck was at Lough Gash (JNM).
One Ring-billed Gull was at Cloghaun Lough, Loop Head (PB).
One first-winter Ring-billed Gull, two adult Mediterranean Gulls and an albino Black-headed Gull was at Ballimacrinan Bay Moneypoint (JNM).
There were two adult Mediterranean Gulls and 110 Knot roosting at Killimer this afternoon (JNM).

Nine Shoveler, seven Gadwall, three Wigeon, six Teal, four Mallard, seven Pochard, 13 Tufted Duck and a Soarrowhawk were at Coonagh. A large Tit flock, containing all four common Tit species, was also present (TT).

Yellow-browed Warbler at Kilkee John N Murphy

One Yellow-browed Warbler, 43 Blue Tits, four Coal Tits and four Goldcrest were in the middle of Kilkee Town (John N Murphy).
Another Yellow-browed Warbler was in a willow hedgerow near Baltard, Doonbeg (JNM).
One Yellow-browed Warbler was in Seni Costello’s garden at Kilbaha, Loop Head (Jeff Copner).
Fourteen Whooper Swan and a Water Rail were at Ballyallia Lake this evening.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)

Adult Ruff Geoff Hunt

An adult Ruff and a Green Sandpiper were at Robertstown (Geoff Hunt).
A Wheatear was at Morgans North, Askeaton (GH).


Sunday 11th October 2020

Two Yellow-browed Warblers, a Willow Warbler, a Goldcrest, a Redwing and several large mixed tit flocks were at Kilbaha. The tit flocks were primarily Blue Tits with lesser numbers of Great Tits and Coal Tits and were seen to be moving eastwards through the village throughout the day (Jeff Copner).

Two Merlin, two Sparrowhawks, two Kestrels two Whooper Swans and 30 Golden Plover were at Loop Head (Jeff Copner).

An adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Peregrine and 65 Golden Plover were at Loughill (TT).
