An adult Whinchat, nine Lapland Buntings, six Wheatears, a Peregrine and 36 Golden Plover were at Loop Head this afternoon (Tom Tarpey).
At the Bridges of Ross there were 511 Sooty Shearwaters, one Balearic Sjearwater, 2200 Manx Shearwaters, eight Leach’s Petrels, 61 Storm Petrels, 167 Bonxies, 30 Pomarine Skuas, 36 Arctic Skuas, 14 Long-tailed Skuas (1 adult, 1 sub-adult & 12 juveniles), ten Sabine’s Gulls (4 adults & 6 juveniles), 211 ArcticTerns, 41 Sandwich Terns, one juvenile Black Tern, 30 Grey Phalaropes, 15 Puffins, 20 Red-throated Divers and six Common Scoter. A Spotted Redshank, 45 Redshnk, a Greenshank, six Grey Plover, 15 Golden Plover, 25 Lapwing, six Black-tailed Godwits, two Little Egrets, two Great-crested Grebes and a White Wagtail at Loughill (TT).
A Spotted Redshank, 40 Redshank, 25 Greenshank, 30 Black-tailed Godwits, four Bar-tailed Godwits, a Curlew Sandpiper, four Mediterranean Gulls, nine Little Egrets and a large mixed flock of Teal and Wigeon were seen at Tarbert Bay during the Branch outing (Maura Turner et al).
